    This unit has been delivered to the Croydon tramlink but its Tube profile presumably means it could be used on LUL lines in the future?

    Alex tells me:

    "It is chain driven, has a Honda engine/generator, and covered control units at the rear. Carries 'SPERRY RAIL' SRS 242 (Works plate Cometi Mecnan, Italy 1801/01 of 2007)"

    The chain drive is for a Tacho generator, not to provide drive.
