Info from the Keith & Dufftown Railway website:
"The vehicle was laid up in the early 1990s and stored at Old Oak Common from where it was purchased in late 1999 by a member of The AC Locomotive Group (ACLG). It was moved to Barrow Hill Roundhouse railway museum near Chesterfield on 11th December 1999 by road, and converted to supply power to ACLG's fleet of preserved electric locomotives until replaced by a more powerful vehicle.
The van left Barrow Hill on 21 February 2003 for Dufftown, arriving on 25th."
