    DB975154 was used as part of an 'Electrification Exhibition Train' connected with the Electrification of the WCML north of Crewe if i remember correctly. It would presumably have contained publicity material concerning the forthcoming electrification letting the public know of those nice new class 87's and mark 3 coaches they were going to get! The train also included DB975152 & DB975153 which were converted from GWR 'Siphon G' vans W1315W & W2771W respectively.

    It is now used on the ELR as Tophamhats Circus Coach. Every Thomas event the side doors are opened to reveal several toy monkeys and a toy Tiger behind bars. I'm working Bury Sth Box tomorrow (4/10) and I will obtain a photo. I don't think there is any movement to restore it to its original condition.

    I think I see the remains of a corridor connection on the front of the unit.
