    This coach led a charmed existance for about 12 years.It was bought by V.S.O.E for its bogies. They then left it and never removed the rest. It sat on commonwelth bogies in its later years and was proberly scrapped not long after this photo was taken.

    They probably bought it for it's LNER pattern bogies. If it had Commonwelth bogies fitted, that's possibly why they never re-claimed anything from the vehicle.

    No, it did have Gresley bogies which V.S.O.E took and left the coach on blocks. Then later on it was put on the commonwelth's probably to make it mobile again.
