  Don't let the LNER axleboxes fool you.

  This is ex- M 407942, 13t open wagon built LMS Derby works in 1937, to diagram number 1892, lot number 1024 (1,000 wagons).

  The small lettering reads "BR Workshops Wolverton".

  According to the Inter-City Railway Society preserved wagon datafiles (2009), this wagon is preserved at the Northampton Ironstone Railway.

  I'm a bit sceptical about the location and date of this photo. To me it looks very much like the Northampton & Lamport Railway, with LMS CCT 37326 behind. I'm fairly certain it's the first loop beyond the station, before bridge 12 (think I've spent too many years in the area to be able work that out!)
