My memory is that there aren't any tracks between this and the car park so hopefully a view wouldn't be blocked by anything other than trees but I may be wrong... There is a chance that it may have now been scrapped as I think they were doing track works at the depot this year.

Anyone know if this survives at Eastleigh please?

  • 14 September 2025 - Timothy Ackerley

Yes it does. I was able to see it yesterday (13.9.25) from the southern end of Southampton Road car park. I had to stand on the armco barrier adjacent to the palisade fence to see over the top of the vegetation, and a 701 parked in the sidings was partly obscuring it, but it was definitely still there. It is in a poor condition and appears to have lost a lot of its sides and the frame also appears to be falling apart. This is confirmed by the view of it on Google Earth.
