    26 July 2003 - Dave Shell - Northumbria Rail

Yet another useful rail vehicle going to waste - I wonder if they would be prepared to sell it?!

    30 July 2003 - PAUL JOHNSON

I used to work in this yard. No company would own up to owning it.I was told it contained asbestos.

    3 August 2003 - Dave Shell - Northumbria Rail

Paul's comment sounds familiar - That's the response you usually get when trying to find who owns something most people consider as scrap: "It's not ours, try asking X"!

    3 January 2004 - Ben

This coach seems to have remained in the same position for at least 13 years! - still being in the same place on my visit in 2003 - see other photos on the site.

    23 November 2004 - Andy Dickinson

I understand that this vehicle was set on fire by the locals back in early summer 2004 and badly damaged - a fate that befell 975797 (also at Heaton ECD) sometime ago. Both vehicles were scrapped onsite as they were then considered to be dangerous and understandably an eyesore
