not really remote operating has been around for years - this makes perfect use of a train testing set - it should been done years ago by british rail !!

Seeing as these things are nearly 30 years old, I can't work out why they're a waste of money and time. The TOC's that ran them, got there money's worth out of them, and i'm sure that Network Rail are getting there money's worth too. So without "Mark" being able to quantify why he feels that these vehicles are a "waste of time and money", it's hard to continue this debate/conversation.
