This is a Great Central Railway designed Robinson 4000 gallon tender. It was built for the War Department's Railway Operating Division and sold in the 1920's to the Great Western Railway. After the locomotive was scrapped it was converted to a sludge carrier. The middle wheelset was removed during conversion. It is owned by the South Devon Railway and may one day be restored to run behind GWR 2251 class no.3205
