These coaches are not strictly test coaches. They are only used as brake force runners and are ex Gatwick Express , hence the "GTX1" painted above the "HANDBRAKE" signage. Internally they are unaltered from there passenger days.

72639 is being converted to a Plain Line Pattern Recognition Vehicle (PLPRV) and should be released to traffic soon.
