Date of the photo is 23-10-81.
The coach is an LSWR design (SR built) "Ironclad" TK, built Eastleigh 1924 to diagram 24. Traffic number was S 752. Operated from 1960 in the Brighton breakdown train as a tool van.

I think this BTU van went to the Isle of Wight in 1990 so the sightings at CF Booth look incorrect. Class 307 EMU coach E70014 was at Booth's scrapyard in late 1993 so the sightings could be this vehicle.
