A rare picture of this saloon in Regional Railways Scotrail livery - it of course survives today but is now in EWS livery (see other pic on site)

This saloon spent some time earlier in 2006 at Derby RTC / FMRail before moving here in September. I'm not sure at this stage if the maroon repaint took place at Derby or Toton - if anyone knows please let me know.

John Ellis, General Manager, ScotRail inspected along Abbeyhill Loop after he heard from a public meeting organised by the Abbeyhill Action Group (later Edinburgh Railway Action Group) had been held on Thursday 3rd March 1988. Mr. Ellis travelled on board General Manager's Saloon (original Inspection Saloon DM 45020)

The saloon made it's first appearance on the passenger train at Dunaskin today.
