The former number of this van is actually E 87820 and not E 87280 as printed on the photo.

Perhaps this actually is the one at the Bluebell!
I have always had a niggling doubt about the true identity of the Bluebell Fish Van. I first saw it there in April 1995 and could find anything on it in the way of identification. Subsequent enquiries at the railway and those connected with it drew a blank. The best I ever got was that it just turned up and don't know where it came from. I did not record it as present on previous visits in 1990 and 1992 so unless I missed it must have arrived C1993/94.
It is interesting to note this was last seen in 1991 whilst 083402 (87820) was last seen in 1986. If 083402 (87820) is the Bluebell one where was it from 1986 to 1995?
