Does anybody know when it was painted blue, and whether the guards and brake doors where sealed when it bcame a departmental or a later modification?

Many thanks for this picture. It has been a fun project and my first attempt at spraying.

mice and simple as it is all blue. The wasp stripes were done on MS word

Love those Bulleid lozenges above the droplights. So distinctive.

Is that a gantry crane in the background, at East Croydon ? I'm struggling to place that...

Hi Andy, Yes, it East Croydon opposite Platform 1, showing the former goods yard in the background. The crane is one of those provided at several railway locations in the south of England during WW2, part of the transhipment arrangements for the D-Day invasion. The photo date is circa. 1974.

The coach was in ex-works condition, on it's delivery run from Stewarts Lane to Newhaven. A rare case of an "Internal User" on the main line. Livery was dark olive green, sadly the photo does not do justice to it.

I believe this became 975375, does anyone know when it was renumbered and repainted into blue?

The latter is the webpage for the coach from the Bluebell, and includes a 'blue' view, and a brief history.
