Looks like the underframe of a "Conflat" and I notice the "D" shaped wagon numberplate is still in situ. A closer look on site at Tanfield should reveal the former running number.

No its the underframe of a box van - the number on the plate was KDB761022. The body was removed at Darlington and it remained there grounded for a while before being damaged by fire and then scrapped later.
