Earlier history is: Built in 1935 to diagram 3103 as S 2223. To Departmental Service as DS 70025 on 25-4-59, withdrawn 23-4-82.

This has recently been offered for sale through Tractionads along with 083523. It is possible one of the pair has now been sold and moved to the Middleton Railway. Can anyone clarify?

According to Steam Railway magazine Issue 507, it is this van which will be moving to the Middleton to be converted into a passenger carriage, similar to the line's other converted SR vans, and expected to take two years to complete.
