  The restoration is reported as Overall winner Heritage Railway Association Carriage & Wagon competition 2009.

  According to the John Lloyd & Murray Browns book, Preserved Railway Carriages, it lists the follwing history:

  Built LNER at York Works to dia 23, as a TK

  No 22255 in 1925

  12013 in 1946

  155 in 1958 used as a camping coach

  Departmental No. DE321089

  Internal User No, 041593 in 1981

  P'88 by W. Hall, at Swineshead Br (Lincs) till May'89, then resold'91 to Stonyford Lodge Hotel, nr Heanor (Derbs)

  Was in internal use at Boston numbered 041593. When I saw it at Swineshead Bridge (next to the A17 road) in September 1988 it was lettered 'GNR Restaurant Car No 1190' and was presumably to be destined for use for catering purposes at The Plough PH. I noted it as gutted internally. It was at the Stoneyford Lodge Hotel by October 1992 as I saw it there in the car park on blocks (no bogies). I noted it as carrying identity 'Restaurant Car No 1190 ECJS'. It was presumably acquired for catering use at the hotel but probably never used and fortunately saved for preservation.
