    1 June 2002 - Ben

This has to be the most bizarre thing I have ever seen - three fuel tanks inside a compound - each on their own short length of track, and carrying IU numbers!! I don't think they will be going anywhere in a hurry!

    16 August 2002 - Simon Jones

According to SCT's "BR Internal Users" book 024994 was ADB999080 - this cannot be correct id the photo above shows a tank wagon.

    24 October 2006 - Ben Williams

It is thought that 024994 nearest the camera here is the only one now remaining. The two tanks behind (024958 and 025016) have now been removed or scrapped. If anyone knows what happened to them please let me know!

It is thought that 024994 on the far left is the only one now remaining. The two other tanks (024958 and 025016) have now been removed or scrapped. If anyone knows what happened to them please let me know!

Ex ESSO43842 built Cambrian Wagon 1958. Withdrawn Doncaster Carr TMD 07/91 and transferred to IU as 024994 at derby Etches Park 31/3/93.

I don't think we ever got to the bottom of these three Derby tank disposals. 024994 outlived the other two at this odd location I think. If anyone knows any more please let me know.
