At one time this crane was reported at Much Marcle - can anyone confirm if it ever went to Much Marcle?

No I think I was told Much Marcle by the haulier but we went there to investigate a few years back (there is a museum there) and it wasn't present. Almost certain it went here from Toton with a few months lay-over at Wishaw.

These are owned by the Ross-on-Wye Steam Engine Society who hold an annual steam rally at Woodside Farm, Welland, usually on the last weekend in July.
The crane has about 75 yards of track to run on lifting trucks of wood onto a steam powered rack saw bench to be turned into planks. When seen today (27/7/13) the crane was in use and the runner wagon was stored off track in the far corner of the field used for steam ploughing, I only found it by accident.
Whether they 'live' at Welland all year round or spend most of the year somewhere nearer Ross (which Much Marcle is) I know not.
