This wagon is of a unique type that formed part of an early 1960s road rail trial called "Project Leapfrog" where the demountable 4000 gallon water tank could be easily transferred to a road vehicle and vice versa. As seen here it is currently stored off track at Ashford due to lack of siding space and may be scrapped if a buyer is not found soon. It was still present in April 2002.

Apparently,the frame only of this wagon is now at High Barn Heritage, Greenstead Green, Halstead, a private location.
