  Hi both

  I've been told the following by a reliable regular visitor to PR:

  "The frame on the photo is six-wheel MR Goods Brake Van M1060. The built at MR Derby 1904 plate can be seen on the photo. It arrived at Rowsley about 2013 and the bodywork was stripped off and stored in 2016 leaving the u/f outside."

  I don't think 395492 is an underframe?

  Many thanks Ben for putting me right about the u/f. I went round the entire yard (with permission), took photos of everything, and there was no sign of any other 6w van, so unless it was inside the main workshop, which was locked, then I don't know where it was. I also went round the outside of Mr. Briddons yard, and took photos of everything outside, and it wasn't there either. Perhaps Brian could tell me where in the yard it was on his observations.

  I have just uploaded a picture of 395492 taken on 5th April 2025 at Rowsley. It should hopefully be clear from the photo where in the Rowsley yard it was on this date.

  I didn't note it down it on my visit to Rowsley in September either. The sheds were locked though. It was easy to see in the yard earlier in 2025.

  I'm told that DM395492 is currently inside the Peak Rail Shed.
