The location is Field Sidings, Norwood Junction and the exact date of the photo is 31-10-79.
Formerly a 2-HAL unit ex-DM number S 10498, built Eastleigh/Lancing on 5-40 to diagram 2117. To Departmental service on 19-10-68 and was latterley coupled to DS 70269. Withdrawn 1-12-79.
