This is a Mobile Load Bank, mounted on a loco tender underframe. Built August 1908 for the LBSCR by Sharp Stewart, as B4 class 4-4-0 No. 63 named "Pretoria", works number 4770. Tender numbered 424 by SR in the 1930's. The loco was withdrawn in May 1951 and the tender was converted to a load bank for diesel shunting locomotives, numbered on 22-3-52 as DS 3202. This was the last number to be used from the old Southern Railway service stock register, after that the BR-derived "DS 70XXX" listing was used on the Southern Region. ADS 3202 was withdrawn on 12-5-84 and the chassis is now on the Bluebell Railway, where it will run behind "Beachy Head", the reconstruction of Brighton Atlantic 4-4-2 number 32424.
