This vehical was being "Dismantled" in the EDU towards the end of December 2006.

I notice the recessed rook on this coach-similar to mentor. Was a pantograph fitted at some point? What is the purpose of this coach?

this vehicle has carried pantographs on various occasions it was also fitted with hst type bogies for high speed

anyone explain the difference between "test car 1,2,3" etc and "Laboratory 1,2,3" etc - why the different names? ta

Test Cars were operated by the Mechanical & Electrical Engineers, Labs by the Research department.
