I don't know what these were used for in the past but they seem to be out of use now.

These were used to carry skips from Barton Hill sidings, where the trains were cleaned, to a convenient location at Basingstoke for the removal of the full skips and their replacement by empties. These two vehicles were purchased from the BR Board by SCPG (scpg.org) and are now awaiting craning out for subsequent transport to the Swanage Railway.

Its thought these may have been removed over the recent Easter blockade? Any confirmation welcome! Are they still due for Swanage?

Apparently they arrived at the Mid Hants Railway on 10th April 2007.

I believe they're now restored (with original numbers re-instated) and carrying Conflat containers (the 'Not to be used to carry containers' lettering having been omitted!).
