This wagon together with many MGRs has been apparently cleared from Neville Hill Yard in the past few days. The sidings beside the main line are now empty.

Thanks Tony - message on Midland_Wagons Yahoogroup suggests MGRs heading to Ron Hull, Rotherham but if anyone can confirm if this has gone there too that would be good please.

Confirmed - scrapped.
Shame this as it was supposed to go for preservation. Was it the last survivor of its type (i.e. the wooden floored variant of this style)?

To follow up my previous comment - this was almost certainly the last survivor of diagram 1/049 (built with sheet rail, which this one seems to lack in the photo) but there is an example of 1/047 (the version without sheet rail) preserved at Brechin, B495394 (PTSO11). I think that really is the last survivor of this body style now.
