Disposals
Henderson Kerr were undertaking the disposal of former OHLM coaches at Carstairs at the end of August.

Scrapping has apparently re-started at Crewe but 975991 is still escaping the cutting torch at the beginning of October as locos are taking priority...

A scrap contractor appears to be on site at Eastleigh Works disposing of EMU demo coach 71731 on October 5th... more to follow perhaps?

NMT news
It has been running as a 6 car with both 977993 and 999550 included for the last few weeks.

977995 - This vehicle actually has no equipment in it, although it may have a generator fitted at some time. It will be used to replace other vehicles in the NMT so as to maintain the 2 + 5 formation required by certification.

Still no concrete news about the second NMT formed of mk2 stock other than it is on the cards for next year - watch this space!

And finally...
977842 (55032) is set to return to mainline use with Arriva Trains in Cardiff.
