Here is a brief summary of recent developments:Following on the yellow tradition, Network Rail sandite unit 930205 (977871/977872) has appeared in the new livery - seen at Ramsgate during April.
It was reported that DW 150144 has recently suffered fire damage at Bristol East Yard. It has been stored here for a long time and the future doesn't now look too rosy...
After a brief period of storage at Throckmorton Airfield in Worcestershire weedkilling coach 99019 has recently been seen out and about in the London area carrying a new blue livery. It is believed it was overhauled at Glasgow works.
Marlin wagon 975510 formerly at Three Bridges yard has been sold to the Manchester Metrolink. It was seen at the Queens Road depot during April.
Another Network Rail Plasser & Theurer EM-SAT RT100 Survey Car has been built in Austria. Numbered 999801 it is identical to 999800 and is due in the country very soon.
****UPDATED 7TH MAY 2004****
999801 arrived in the UK on 6th May 2004 - arriving into Wembley yard on the back of 7X60 from Dollands Moor. Plasser works plate number for all you works plate fans is 153 of 2004. Build number of 999800 is not yet known.
The new conversions for Network Rail's wiring trains have been recently seen out and about on the Southern Region - 6260 and 977991 were seen near Bermondsey during April while vehicles have also been seen around Three Bridges and Eastleigh.
A recent clear out at Doncaster TMD has seen a few movements to Booths scrapyard including 041721 (975939)
