News - New machine arrives!

The new Plasser track recording unit has arrived at Derby!

The new Plasser & Theurer EM-SAT RT100 track geometry machine has been seen today (15/12) at Derby Litchurch Lane. It is numbered 999800.

It is to be operated by Carillion and used on the WCML between Atherstone and Hanslope (the bit that is passed for full speed Pendolino operation.)

****UPDATED 2ND MARCH 2004****
After a brief sojourn at Rugby Carillion depot, the unit was today towed past Washwood Heath near Birmingham by Carillion's tamper 73102. Its destination is currently unknown so further sightings would be welcome!
