Some more of the latest conversion news hot off the pressHot on the heels of tool van conversions 977990 and 977991, 6261 is the latest to join the Network Rail fleet currently building at MOD Ludgershall. It was formerly postal van 92988.
977989 is currently under conversion at LH Group at Barton under Needwood in Staffordshire. It has been converted from Mark 3 sleeper coach 10536 and is currently in a maroon livery. It is to become a staff canteen coach for Jarvis to work with the Track Renewals Train 78901.
Finally I have received information that postal van 92114 is to become DB 971000! This is thought to be the next number series to be used when the 977xxx series numbers run out. No more details about this as yet... watch this space!
