| Directions - view map From M1 junc 33 follow the A630 to Rotherham. At the 4th roundabout (Booth's yard & the Football ground are visible on your left) go right around the roundabout (following the visiting supporters signs) then take a sliproad left under the road you have just passed over. Fork left under the bridge then left again over the level crossing and a car park is on your right. Buses 11 & 12 from Rotherham Central station serve the Football Ground then walk down Millmoor Lane to view the scrapyard. |
| Description Scrapyard with loco's, coaching stock & wagons usually present for breaking up. Some of the vehicles in the yard can be identified using binoculars from a landscaped area next to the car park (on the other side of the canal) and also from Millmoor Lane crossing gates next to the football ground. Update 2006 Please note enthusiast visits are now only allowed on saturday mornings before 11.30am. You must sign in and out with the reception, agree to their terms and conditions, and bring your own protective clothing - sturdy shoes/boots, hi visibility vest and hard hat. A £5 charity donation per person is also required. |
