| Directions - view map The Balfour Beatty works can be best viewed from passing trains between Ashford International and Folkestone (Eurostars also pass here) On foot from the station - come out of the south side and turn left onto Newtown Road with the railway lines on your left and car parks on your right. Continue to the traffic island with the shopping centre complex ahead of you (the roof of this looks like a huge marquee and is visible from the station) turn left under the Hastings railway line and carry on until you get to the entrance to an industrial yard on the left (former railway property.) The main entrance to the BB depot is here and stock parked at the back can be viewed with binoculars. |

| Usual vehicles Stored BB departmental coaches. The route learning unit 977860 which was here for many years moved north to Crewe at the end of 2004 for conversion into a route learning unit for SWT. |
