RDB977469 went by road to EMR Snailwell arrived 26 NOV. 02.
Note this vehicle changed owner from AEA to HSBC prior to disposal in conjunction with coversion of 5854 to RDB977974.

presumably due to the intensive, high-speed nature of the service, all of the mk2s allocated had disc brakes fitted - more consistent performance, less maintenance?
were also through-wired with 'blue star' control jumpers

In May 1990 Lab 5 was commissioned to carry out a Track Survey as part of an ORE project. The countries passed through were France, Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland.
