    The two class 41 prototype IC125 power cars (this one pictured here and 975813) were taken over by the RTC after withdrawal to provide traction for test trains involved in the APT project and HST development. This one has been preserved but unfortunately 975813 was scrapped at Rotherham back in 1990.
