This coach is in the former pullman shed that was brighton railway museam back in the 1980s. I was trying until a few years ago to get the place cleared but gave up. If any one knows whats happening now drop me an e mail - iankidger2002@yahoo.co.uk

It makes you wonder why people graffiti these coaches and the rest of the stock inside the sheds at Brighton if no one is going to be able to 'admire' their work?

I understand from Moveright International that the whole site is to be cleared by them in the next month or two, in readiness for demolition of this noted building - It was more than a Pullman Shed, it was the Pullman Car Company works at Preston Park, which overhauled and maintained every British Pullman Car from the frames up.

    6 March 2008 - The Ashpan Inspector

It's a pity that the misguided and hopeless cause of the Brighton Works scheme ended up with all the stock being left to rot have the inevitable happen to it....as photo shows. A worse still they can't be moved as they are in such a parlous state so it it likely it will all be scrapped on site if and when the sheds are demolished.

Contractors are finally on site now - presumably making the building safe. September 2008 is the mooted date for removal of stock but whether any of it makes it to new homes is another matter! If anyone has any details of what is present or any news please get in touch!
