BR records indicate that this was transferred to Internal User stock in 1968 at Plymouth Millbay. Preserved Railway Carriages by John Lloyd and Murray Brown records it as being preserved by the West Somerset Railway in 1975. Until now it had been a mystery where it had been located in the early 1970s after Plymouth Millbay closed. A comment has been received today from a West Somerset Railway volunteer who recalls being part of a team that recovered it from an isolated section of track at Gunnislake station in the winter of 1975/76. Thus, presumably that is where it spent the bulk of its Internal User career. Its body was scraped soon after arrival at the West Somerset Railway.
